The first of the season, a holiday gift guide. This is no ordinary gift guide though, this is for the goal oriented cyclist who alternates between cycling for fun, fitness, and commuting to work. It’s most likely you or your cyclist have already made investments in good riding equipment that are used regularly but it’s likely one of you are looking into new ways to take your cycling routine to the next level with ride tracking, navigation, structured workouts, app integrations, and much more. To help you gift the goal oriented cyclists or yourself, here are some suggestions to give this holiday, whatever the goal.

Fitness Planner

A fitness planner can help make a plan of action containing everything one would need to make progress on their health and fitness goals. A well designed planner will help plan in workouts, track nutrition and even set small rewards. A great reminder to work ones way up slowly to health and fitness goals and progress only when they are comfortable. Seek progress, not perfection. This printable planner kit has it all.

Garmin VivoMove HR Sport

Not everyone wants a fitness tracker strapped to their wrist. Some prefer something that looks like a regular watch, but functions like a smartwatch. These are called hybrids. One such device is the Garmin VivoMove HR Sport Watch – featuring wireless Bluetooth syncing with the smartphone for receiving incoming notifications and controlling music tracks from the wrist, as well as speedy data transfer to Garmin’s Connect app for viewing all exercise and daily activity metrics.

Garmin Vector 3S Power Meter Pedals

The Vector 3S measures cadence and watts to an accuracy of +/- 1% at the pedals, capturing power information as it transfers from the pedals into the crank arm. The sensor monitors tiny changes in the pedal spindle curve as force is applied to the pedal, and the data is transferred wirelessly via ANT+ or Bluetooth technology to the head unit or your phone. You can see your power during rides and also download the data for analysis once you get home. The Vector 3S also has the option to upgrade and convert to a dual-sensing system. With the Garmin Vector 3S Upgrade Pedal, additional data features such as left/right balance and pedal efficiency dynamics are available.

Tacx Flow Smart Trainer

The Flow Smart trainer offers all the necessary features you need for a fully interactive indoor cycling experience. It connects to most popular training apps, like Zwift, Tacx and Trainerroad. And its wheel-on design allows for easy setup and storage. This trainer is the perfect winter training tool.

Element Mini

As a compact counterpart, the ELEMNT BOLT MINI utilizes the ELEMNT companion app on your smartphone to customize settings, provide pop-up call and text alerts, set route maps, and much more. Plus, with Live Track, you can send custom links to others about your riding location, progress, and metrics. ELEMNT BOLT MINI also comes with a Wahoo RPM Speed sensor, so you’re ready to ride and record speed/distance/time right out of the box.

Muc-Off

With winter approaching and for many there already, most are moving indoors. Sweat is corrosive so while your fitness is making huge gains your equipment is taking a beating. Muc-Off designed bike cleaning products to shed sweat and resist corrosion. If you’re cycling through the season, your bike is a different story.

Muc- Off has developed a dedicated line of indoor training products  and winter bike cleaning products meaning you can laugh in the face of Jack Frost as you happily sweat to your heart’s content while keeping your equipment bacteria free and protected from sweat and winter road damage.

Strava

Cyclist are hardcore when it comes to their performance and always trying to get better. Tech app subscriptions such as Strava Summit can help them reach goals while connecting with other cyclists to help motivate and participate in goal oriented challenges. Strava recently changed their subscription packs into three while also changing the pricing model. Each pack has different purposes for every athlete but helps them track their progress and goals.

Zwift

By combining the Zwift Cycling App with a smart trainer like KICKR, riders can experience a dynamic variety of resistance settings and a highly-realistic virtual riding experience. With Zwift, you can join a global online community to make new friends, compete against others, and have fun while you ride. Plus, new users can enjoy a free 7-day trial of the Zwift Cycling App with the purchase of a smart trainer.
